SUMS: Joshi et al. -- Women in Maths & Maths in the World

This week's SUMS talk is an inaugural "Women in Maths" event. The main speaker is Prof. 
Nalini Joshi, followed by short talks by Honours students Maggie Corrigan (Chemistry), 
Caity McGregor (Maths), and Claire Edmunds (Physics). 

Abstract: 
For SUMS’s first Women in Maths event, several women
at the university will talk about why they chose to
study or work in maths. This event also intends to
illustrate the many different paths mathematics can
lead one down, and just how pervasive maths is in the
world at large. All are welcome to attend.
